This is how far I have come!

It has been two years and four months since I started my weightjourney. I made up my own diet and didn´t really believe I would achieve much. Or I believed it would take ten years. Today I will not write much, just post some pictures of the achievement over this short time. In my blog I have written about what I have done!

The search for healthy foodalternatives!

The great and exiting challenge I have had over the two last years is to find healthy ingredients for my food that would help me to get all nutrients needed at the same time I reduced in weight

Breakfast is the most important meal to get a good start and energy for the day. And energy that will last and not make me feel tempted to get a quick boost by some sugarkick or something like that. During the two last years I have eaten oatmeal for breakfast almost every morning for breakfast. Just some saturday or sunday I did something different.

Today I found another great breakfast alternative that is really healthy and very tasty. It is a Haitian breakfast dish with scrambled eggs and plaintains.

It is a great variation to my diet and a very tasty. I also discoverd a new great ingredient I have not tried at all during these two years, the plaintain! It contains a lot of A and C vitamins, even B-6 vitamins, iron and magnesium.´It has fibers that is really needed. It contains some carbs but much less than oatmeal. So it is a great breakfast alternative.

Persistence is what separates goals from wishes!



Tonight I have been looking back to when I first started my weight journey, comparing pictures over this time. When I began and all along I made up my mind to rather measure how far I have come than to look at how far I have left to where I want to end up. It has now been 2 years and 2 ½ months since I started. I felt like getting some new inspiration this evening, so I spent some time going through my pictures over these months.

When I look at what I have accomplished I feel so proud of myself. I am also so happy to recognize myself since before I gained so much weight. And now it is almost impossible for me to believe I have been like that some years of life. Every day I really appreciate and enjoy the change that I have been able to accomplish on my own. Contemplating on this development tonight I have gotten so much new inspiration to continue.

How did I accomplish this change in this time? It is very simple: Through setting some goals, making a plan on how to get there and follow that plan each and every day no matter how long time it takes.

Persistence is what separates goals from wishes!
